I love to cook. I especially love cooking with my husband. Prepping and cooking a meal together is fun and it can resemble a dance of sorts…. chopping sounds replace the music and moving around each other in the kitchen is our tango. Unfortunately, elaborate meals or dances are saved for when we have time. Some nights hockey practice, gymnastics, meetings or other life stuff gets cuts into our tango time in the kitchen. Some nights you just want dinner… without the dance. We try not to order pizza or hit the drive-through but sometimes it feels like it is our only option.
“At SupperWorks, we’ve revolutionized home-cooking with bulk, on-site meal assembly. We create delicious monthly recipes, do the shopping, the washing, the chopping and the clean-up! Our kitchens are fully stocked with premium-quality, restaurant-grade meats and produce.”
I was invited to try SupperWorks in Ottawa during a bloggers night event. We were given a quick tour of the workstations, prep and storage areas and then we were off to prepare our meals of choice. At every workstation, there are about 6, you will find all the ingredients needed for two meals along with easy to follow recipes to help you assemble your meals. The stations are incredibly clean and the ingredients are fresh and high quality. I loved how everything was clean, with clear instructions, and super easy to whip together.
I purposely chose meals I thought would be difficult to cook on weeknights. I wanted to really test out SupperWorks and see for myself if it is time-saving and easier than doing it at home. Plus I loved picking out recipes with ingredients I don’t usually have on hand. Would the meals hold up to the freezer?
