With hockey playoffs, playdowns, and a busy tournament schedule I am looking forward to settling in for a fun family Valentine’s Day night in. Hubby and I secretly snuck out had a great dinner out while both kids were at sleepovers last weekend. Best of both worlds. Nice dinner out with my love and a snuggly night in with all my loves. Of course Netflix will be a part of our night.
What does your night in with the family watching movies look like? For us it starts with a “what are we going to watch?” debate and it quickly moves on to “what is there for snacks?” search. I am planning ahead on both fronts this time.
I am going to be preparing one of our favorites, Toblerone Chocolate Fondue, it is always a hit! I may add some Heart Shaped Strawberry Tarts because the girls love helping to make the heart shapes. Obviously there will be popcorn. And melted butter.
Here are my choices for family movies
The Lego Movie An easy choice for a family movie. Adults and kiddos will love it.
After being mistaken for the LEGO MasterBuilder, ordinary mini-guy Emmet is swept up in an urgent quest to thwart the evil plans of Lord Business.
Forrest Gump My oldest has been unknowingly quoting this movie “Run, Forrest, run!!” and I think it is time she watched it.
Forrest Gump, a friendly, simple-minded man, finds himself in the middle of nearly every major event of the 1960s and ’70s.
And as a bonus… I can’t wait to share what my girls and I think of Fuller House! Will you be watching it on release day February 26th?
