This video from UsedEverywhere.com had me thinking of my first crush. My first BIG CRUSH! I grew up in the ‘burbs of Montreal in the ’80-s, so I bet you can guess who that crush was. Of course it was Corey Hart. Need some proof? Here ya go… my friend and I rockin’ the 80’s. Notice the predominately Corey wall behind us. Do kids still do this?
My second concert ever (first was Platinum Blonde… whoa!) was to see Corey Hart. I must have been about 13 years old as I headed out with my bestie, our Corey Hart t-shirts and our tickets in hand. During the concert a live version of Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer was recorded for 7″ single release. I had a copy of the record (it was red) but it has since been lost. I would love to find a one to display in a corner of my home. A perfect reminder of the birth of my love of live music. I will be keeping my eye on UsedEverywhere.com for a copy.
I am a concert collectable junkie. I have a box full of concert t-shirts, programs and ticket stubs ranging from Janet Jackson to Ozzy and from Duran Duran to The Rolling Stones. My love of live concerts began in the ’80s and continues today.
I have a new item I love to collect. Pyrex. I fell in love with one of my mother-in-law’s vintage Amish blue Pyrex bowls and I am obsessed to find them all!! Then I fell in love with the daisy pattern! Then I realized I was in trouble and that my collecting can easily get out of hand. Here is an example of my search results on UsedRegina.com. There are so many!
Here are some other of my wicked throwback finds!
Vintage Red Tupperware Holiday Cookie Cutters: we had these as kids!
1970’s Tonka Truck: would look great in my father-in-law,s garage
What will you find?
