Did you notice my brand new shiny brand-Bassador badge over there on the right? Have you heard of Saban? If not, do not worry as you have definitely heard about a lot of the brands they represent. The brands are Power Rangers, Paul Frank, Vortexx, Julius Jr,Digimon Fusion, the Play Forge, Zui.com and popples. Today, I am going to introduce you to some of them.
When my eldest daughter was in pre-school she came home telling me all about Power Rangers. We bought her fist DVD and she was hooked! Power Ranger themed birthdays, Halloween costumes, wrist communicators and action figures are the norm at my house. Most are surprised because I have 2 girls. Launched in 1993 Power Rangers quickly became the most-watched children’s television program in the U.S. and is the #1 boys (ahem and girls too!) live-action series across all television in its time period. You can catch Power Rangers Megaforce on Nickelodeon. Can you believe that Power Rangers are celebrating 20 years?!
Paul Frank was started by a group of friends in a Huntington Beach garage. A need for a fun outlet celebrating creativity and individuality in Southern California, Paul Frank Industries (PFI) was formally incorporated in December of 1997. Acquired by Saban in 2010, the brand has steadily grown to become a globally recognized, iconic brand that features artistic and entertaining designs inspired by a love of avant-garde, modern influences and everyday objects. Paul Frank merchandise includes apparel and accessories, books, stationery, eye wear, home décor, bicycles (!) and more.
Vortexx is on CW from 7:00 a.m. to noon every Saturday and features shows that engage kids through well-established content, activities and products featuring high-energy action, adventure and comedy. Right up my kiddos alley. Current programs on Vortexx include: Dragon Ball Z Kai and Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, in addition to Justice League Unlimited (my favorite!) and, coming this Fall, Digimon Fusion. You do not have to wait for Saturday to be entertained by Vortexx, Vortexx.com keeps kids entertained 24/7/365 with fun games, activities and full episodes.
You will no doubt recognize Julius Jr from his Paul Frank fame! Julius Jr is launching on Nick Jr this fall and will be a preschool series based on the creative spirit and lovable characters of Paul Frank. Julius builds a playhouse out of cardboard with the help of his best friends. To their delight when they step inside the ordinary cardboard playhouse they discover a magical playroom where ordinary objects come to life and fantastic adventures are just a door away! Geared to children aged 2-4 the themes for the shows include friendship & teamwork, playful adventure, Imagination & invention, cooperation & active play. All themes that make parent happy! I can’t wait to check this one out this fall.
There is a taste of the Saban brand. I will introduce more in an upcoming post. Take a tour, follow on facebook and tweet away. And stay tuned for fun stuff from Saban!
