Toblerone Chocolate Fondue. This is not a treat to have every night. This is a special occasion dessert. We had this with our fondue bourguignonne on New Years Eve. Our meal was inspired by our favorite restaurant, The Grizzly House in Banff Alberta. That is where my girls first got the taste for chocolate fondue.
The most important thing about chocolate fondue is the chocolate. We would only make a fondue with Toblerone. Seriously. Do not try it with anything else.
Toblerone Chocolate Fondue
300 g of Toblerone bars
175 g of 35% cream
Melt the cream and chocolate together on a double boiler. Making sure to stir often. If the chocolate is too thick add a little bit more cream.
Serve with a dish of sliced fruit, cookies and other things that go well with chocolate.
What we thought of during fondue:
Ice cream balls
Rice Krispie Treats (I know right???)
Hint: make sure you use the tea light candle option with your fondue set to keep the chocolate warm. Or else you will be calling your chef friend in the morning asking how to remove melted nougat from your fondue pot. Not that I would know… just sayin’.
