Having kids with a bit of an age gap ( 4 years here) has its perks. There is no fighting over things like toys or clothes but there is some bickering over what to watch. The oldest is 13 so she is starting to like shows geared towards teenagers and the youngest is still a little too young for some of those shows. When they are together watching Netflix, it can be hard to find a show both will enjoy. When they do find a show they both watch it becomes a fun night. They make popcorn to share, a mound of pillows and blankets on the living room floor to dive into and a no parents allowed announcement. They enjoy their time together and that makes me happy.
