Tim Hortons has been a part of Canadian hockey for over 30 years and I don’t mean by keeping us Hockey Moms alert with great hot coffee on those cold early morning practices. Although, that has helped. I am talking about Timbits Hockey. To help celebrate the last 30 years, Tim Hortons has launched “Timbits Hockey Enters the Hockey Hall of Fame Contest“. The contest is about sharing stories of people who have made Timbits Hockey such a success. Share your story about a dedicated Hockey Mom who volunteers and helps keep everyone on track or the fabulous coaches that remind the players that the first goal is having fun. Maybe your story is similar to my husbands? One of his life long friendships started on a Timbits team. What is your Timbit Hockey story?
Share your Timbits Hockey story for a chance to win:
- A trip for 4 to the Hockey Hall of Fame
- A weekly Prize of a $100 Tim Card
Your entry could also be featured:
- In the Tim Hortons Theatre in the Hockey Hall of Fame
- As a Star of the Week on our Homepage
- In the Timbits Hockey Timeline
How cool is that?

About the Timbits Minor Sports Program
The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program’s philosophy is not based on winning or losing – but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid.
Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games. Timbits players are also given the opportunity to play in their own “Timbits Jamboree”, a fun-filled Tim Hortons sponsored event where everyone receives a prize, food and beverages.
