Get Healthy 2013 ~ Great Infrared Sauna Giveaway ~

Getting healthy in 2013 is on the top of many resolution lists this year. It is tops on my list. It is my one resolution. I have made resolutions before and have abandoned them by the end of January. This year I have decided to make it stick. I did a lot of internet cruising and came up with a plan. I never had a plan before. If I have a plan I am sure to succeed. Right? I will be using S.M.A.R.T goals 
- I will focus on creating goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time based (SMART). Well I will let you know at the end of the year.

I set specific health related goals. I had to make them measurable goals that I can track. Telling myself “I will loose 20 Pounds” has been changed to “I will go swimming 3 times a week.”. “Going on a diet” is now “Eat at home 6 days a week.” I will be focusing on why I want to be more healthy as well. I am trying to change my approach this year.

“I will go swimming 3 times a week.”
This goal is achievable. I will know if I am on track immediately. I like that I can plan my week. Take it one week at a time. If I am swimming 3 times a week I will get stronger and more healthy.  This one is a little trickier.  I will do better in the weeks to come.

“Eat at home 6 days a week.”
This is a big one for my family! We eat out a lot. In a previous post I blame my restaurateur parents. When I was young we went out for breakfast, lunch or dinner on a regular basis. My father called in. “Market research.”.  I started meal planning and this goal is working!  At first I shocked that my food bill had increased so much but then my hubby pointed out that now we had food in the house with a plan.  No more running out to a restaurant and spending $100 numerous times a week.  Ok so now I feel better about the increase in the groceries.

    I use infrared sauna at the T-Zone. I love it. Since my exercising is limited, winning a spa would save me the membership because I’m basically using the vibration machines for massage. But the vibrational technology works.
